New Zealand is an island country in the Southwest Pacific Ocean and belongs to a large island group called Polynesia. The country is situated on two main islands — the North Island and the South Island and several dozen smaller islands. 
The population of New Zealand, about 4 million people, is mostly of European descent. So, English is the official language of New Zealand and is spoken throughout the country. Many native people speak their own language» Maori, in addition to English.
The country once belonged to the British empire. but today it is an independent member of the Commonwealth of Nations, an association of Britain and a number of its former colonies.
Wellington is the capital of New Zealand and its financial centre but Auckland is the largest city 
The climate in the country is mild.  As grass grows very quickly, the main industry in New Zealand is agriculture, especially cattle farming, marine fishing, fruit production. Though, most New Zealanders, or «Kiwis» as they are called, are no longer farmers, 86 percent of the population in New Zealand live in cities.
New Zealand has one of the highest standards of living in the world.

Australia is the only country in the world that is also a continent. It is the sixth largest country and the smallest continent. It lies between the South Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean and most of its territory is deserted.
The Commonwealth of Australia is a federation of 6 states  and 2 territoriesEach state has its government.  About 23 million people live in Australia nowadays.Ausrtalia is a member of the Commonwealth headed by the British Queen.
The national language is English. The capital of Australia is Canberra All the government buildings are situated there.
The capital is also the home of many cultural institutions. The largest cities are Sidney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.
The country has some unique species of animals, which can’t be found anywhere else. Among them, koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, flightless emus, wombats and many others. So, the Australian Zoos can be another place of interest for tourists.

The word Canada comes from one of the Red Indian languages – "Kannata", meaning "a number of huts". Canada is often called the "Land of the Maple Leaf". The maple leaf is the national emblem of Canada. The story of Canada goes back over 400 years. The French were the first settlers to this country. In 1759 Canada became a part of the British Empire. In 1931 became independent from Britain. Today Canada is an independent federative state, consisting of 10 provinces and 2 territories. It is a member of the Commonwealth, headed by the Queen of Great Britain. The two official languages are English and French. But many other languages are spoken: Italian, Chinese, German, Polish and Greek. Canada is a country with very high standards of living. This country is particularly advanced in the areas of health, education, social protection and human rights.
